Music in Our Schools

Music in Our Schools (MIOS) provides an in-house musical experience to children within a school facility or educational program, including special needs schools with programs for childhood handicaps, learning disabilities, or hearing and speech disorders. Whatever the venue, a small group of musicians are brought into the schools to interact and perform for the children.

I first heard the Philharmonic in 1978, The William Tell Overture was the curtain raiser and I became a subscriber shortly after that.
