The first concert of our 50th season was a program of musical creations across two centuries by women composers. This program celebrates the centennial of the passage of the 19th amendment. It showcased NEPP violinist Gabriel Schaff and pianist Melody Fader.
This concert featured Béla Bartók’s Contrasts, a masterpiece of the chamber music literature, inspired by Hungarian and Romanian folklore, along with works by Brahms and Kodály showcasing NEPP violinist Robyn Quinnett and clarinetist Pascal Archer with pianist Spencer Myer.
Our principal oboist, Lillian Copeland, along with pianist Spencer Myer, played an exciting program exploring the oboe repertoire from the baroque to the 21st century.
